Dualling the 5.1 mile (8.2km) Tay Crossing to Ballinluig project includes new at-grade left-in/left-out junctions, a new network of side roads, a new overbridge at Guay South and a new structure over Kindallachan Burn.
Following announcement of the preferred bidder, the contract was awarded to Wills Bros Civil Engineering Ltd in July 2025. Following the mandatory 10 day standstill period the contract was awarded to Wills Bros. The estimated total scheme cost is £257 million at Q2 2025 prices.
The A9 between Tay Crossing to Ballinluig runs parallel and in close proximity to the River Tay.
