A9 Dualling: Tay Crossing to Ballinluig - Kindallachan junction access & egress

Once the temporary roundabout at the site compound at Kindallachan is operational, from approximately 9 June 2026, right turns into and out of Kindallachan access will no longer be permitted for any road users. 

Road users travelling northbound will be able to turn left out of Kindallachan junction and travel south to use the temporary roundabout to make a turning manoeuvre to continue north on their journey. 

There will be no right turn access into Kindallachan from the northbound lane. Road users should ,use the signed diversion route, via the grade separated junction/overbridge at Ballinluig, to make a turning manoeuvre to travel south and then turn left into Kindallachan at the existing access. It is anticipated that this will add approximately 7 minutes to journey times. Signage will be put in place to signpost the diversion.  The map below depicts this diversion route.
